If you work with Adsense you probably know that sometimes Adsense CPC and RPM can go up and down at 20-50% in the same day, but day after that everything is normal again.
Well, I visited Google forum yesterday I saw tons of threads about low January earnings, low RPM and low CPC these days, so I decided to write this article about this thing happening right now, because I survived it 7 times in 7 years.
I will try to explain it for newbies, so you can understand it even if you are not an Adsense partner.

Short Explanation of this Problem
I am using Adsense for 7 years now and every year resulted with low earnings in Q1, well, at least the first 2 months were always really bad. So, what is this about, is this about your website or some other factors?
Advertisers, almost 90% of them are selling their goods, promoting special offers and coupons for holidays, and they spend almost 70% of their marketing budget for Black Fridays, November and December.
We have 70+ Adsense niche blogs and most of them are in different niches, so all of them are getting different CPC and RPM from Adsense.
It’s perfectly normal for 90% niches that you get 20-50% more income with Adsense in November and December. It’s also perfectly normal to get 30-60% decrease in January and February, because advertisers budgets are low, and most of them spent their money advertising their offers (products) in November and December.
So, don’t worry, and keep working on your sites, January and February will give you low CPC and RPM but March and April will result 10-20% increase in revenue, and you will be good.
