If you are working with Adsense you probably already know how Adsense CPC and RPM can sometimes go up and down at a 20-50% rate on the same day, but the day after that everything is back to normal again.
Well, I visited Google forum yesterday and I saw tons of threads about low February earnings, low RPM, and low CPC these days, so I decided to write this article about this thing happening right now because I survived it 7 times in 7 years.
I will try to explain it for newbies, so you can understand it even if you are not an Adsense partner.

Short Explanation of this Problem
I am using Adsense for 7 years now and every year resulted in low earnings for Q1, well, at least the first 2 months of Q1 are always really bad. So, what is this about, is this about your website or some other factors?
Advertisers, almost 90% of them are selling their goods, promoting special offers and coupons for holidays, and they are spending almost 70% of their marketing budget for Black Fridays, November, and December.
We have 30+ Adsense niche blogs and most of them are in different niches, most of them are getting totally different CPC and RPM from Adsense.
It’s perfectly normal that you get a 20-50% Adsense income boost in November and December. It’s also perfectly normal to get a 30-60% drop in January and February because advertising budgets are low, and most advertisers spent their money by advertising their offers (products) during November and December.
So, don’t worry, and keep working on your sites, January and February will give you some really low CPC and RPM but March and April will bring 10-20% revenue increase, and you will be fine.
How to Get More Adsense Revenue in Q1?
If you are working on niche sites, there are other monetization options for your website, and some of them are Amazon Affiliate, Infolinks, direct sales, and some other advertising methods. You can try combining Adsense with some other monetization networks in order to maximize your revenue in these first few months.
Click here to read my Infolinks Review, you can use Infolinks combined with Adsense. If you have a lot of text on your website, Infolinks will be a great solution for you.
Also, consider using Amazon Affiliates on your websites if you run product niche sites. Try Amazon Recommended ads and Amazon CPM ads, start using CPM ads only if you have more than 5000 visitors on your website.

Thank you for the info because my rpm drop badly and i was wondering what going on. i get more than 4000 views per day and the earnings are very low.
Same is happening now again. Its february still. Earnings dropped to 0, RPM about o.05
Yeah, pretty bad year
Can adsense and amazon affiliate or clickbank combined on one website?
I guess google hates that because its advertisers may be dislike to be with other ads.
Have you tried it out or tested?
You can use them on the same site
Thanks to encourage….
Well, the problem is that January was bad, but April is horrible, so we are talking about Q2 2020 now….
In my case, a 50% drop in payment and lower CTR.
Yap, March was great, and last 10 days of April are just shit, 60% drop.
How much did you make from 90 sites?
I don’t share my earning online, but enough for decent living 😀
No there is no delay in Adsense payments.
I got my payment for December 2015.
Thank you very much, you said correctly
Thank you Varma, Cheers.
