StatCounter is one of the best free tracking services online. I am using it on more than 150 sites. We are currently running 120+ porn sites, you can read my article on How I’m making money using porn sites.
Statcounter is a free tool, you can use the free version, and if you need something more advanced you can get Advanced version (5-20$ per month) depending on your needs.
A free version is enough if you need stats for less than 20.000 unique visitors per day per website. It’s perfect for niche websites with less than 10.000 visitors.
How to Register your StatCounter account?

Now click on the blue hyperlink: Default installation guide
You will get on this page where you will copy this Standard code from your code box.
Now you will go to your WordPress site, navigate to Wp-Admin, and go to Appearance -> Editor.

Now find </head> line in your header.php code and paste your Statcounter code before that line.
Save the file and that’s it, you are done.
But I want to show my button with visitors count on my website?
– If you want to show Visitors count paste your Statcounter code anywhere in your Footer.php file.
(You can use this button only if you are using Visible tracking option)
That’s it. Now you can count every single visitor on your site.
