Adsense is a huge network and they have 300,000+ active publishers. It’s getting bigger month by month and that’s because it’s one of the easiest ways to make money online. If you are using this network you already know how strict they are, very strict, and if you make even a small mistake they will ban you.
Do I use Adsense?
Yes, I am using Google Adsense on 30+ niche websites, and it’s one of my primary income sources. I never got banned from Adsense, and my Google Adsense account is 13 years old.
How to avoid Google Adsense Ban?
First thing first, you need to take care of your site, you need to know what’s on your site, everything about copyright protection and illegal activities and you should read Adsense policies, beginners guide.
There are tons of reasons why you could get banned from the Adsense program, but I will try to write down the 5 most common ban reasons in the last few years.
Five Most Common Adsense Ban Reasons
Adsense will ban each website that is not ‘looking legit’ and if your site has some of these problems you should get rid of them in no time. Google will sometimes put your site on ‘their watching list’ so they can track your website for a few days, weeks, and even months, and once they make sure that you are breaking their Terms, they will ban you and you will get none of your pending payments.
Adsense Click Fraud
This is the worst thing that you can do on your Adsense site and Adsense will ban your fraudulent ass in 2 seconds. Click fraud bans are the most common ones, and 70% of banned Adsense users are banned because of click fraud.
Google has a great tracking system for ads, clicks, your browser, your web activities, and everything around it, they know everything that’s happening on your site and you can’t hide it from them.
If you are clicking on your own Adsense ad from some random Internet coffee shop in Indonesia, and you just logged in to your Instagram account using the same IP, you are done.
Even if you send a link to your friends asking them to click on your ads, Google knows!
So, do not even try using click fraud or something like that.
Porn and Nulled scripts
Google will never tolerate porn content ( photos, videos, gifs ) and you will get an instant ban. If you gonna upload some nudity, at least blur nipples, vagina, and penis in Photoshop, and if you are planning to create a porn website make sure that your hosting allows it because 98% of them don’t.
The next thing you have to do is to find some adult ad network that will allow you to monetize a porn site. The best adult ad network is Crakrevenue.
Warez/Nulled scripts, themes, torrents, or pirated software.. never upload those things on your website because you will get an instant Adsense ban.
Copyright violations
If you steal content from other sites and if you are using stolen content on multiple pages, Adsense will ban your website.
You can copy a few sentences from other websites from time to time, and you can copy non-watermarked images 95% of the time. You should also avoid stealing logos, designs, post titles… from other websites.
Adsense forbidden ad placement
Do not place your ads in some weird places, like, in your logo area, in the middle of your Related posts … where you can mislead people to click on the ads.
Remember, if Adsense feels something suspicious about your website, they will send your website for a manual check.
Do not use floating scripts to show Adsense ads.
Do not put your ads in a popup or any other script that can make visitors uncomfortable on your website.
Do not force users to click on the Adsense ad in order to unlock something.
Multiple Adsense accounts and combining ad networks
There is one more thing that you should avoid in order to keep your Adsense account healthy.
You should never create more than one Adsense account using the same IP and name.
You can combine most ad networks with Adsense, but first, make sure Adsense is OK with that. Contact Adsense support and ask them about your new ad network and ask them if they are ok with you combining Adsense and this new ad network on the same page.
If you are not satisfied with Adsense you can read my post about Amazon CPM ads as an Adsense alternative.
